Volunteer Warehouse Assistant - Fridays - HVC 1989

Barking Foodbank (Hope Family Trust)

 

As a Warehouse volunteer with Barking Foodbank you will act as the link between food donations coming in and reaching those in crisis.

You will provide vital support to the smooth running of your local food bank.

You will be part of a team sorting and packing food and additional items in the warehouse.

You be organised and have an eye for detail, general tasks includes

  • Checking, weighing and recording stock
  • Sorting food by date and type.  and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse.
  • Some heavy lifting 

What skills do I need?

  • You will be organised
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Have a good level of fitness as this is a physical role,  you will be on your feet a lot
  • Be comfortable with some heavy lifting

One session per week, between 10.30 - 2.30 Friday's. A minimum commitment of 6 months is required for this role
