Volunteer Reflexologist - HVC 2061

 We are looking for an experienced Reflexologist to provide reflexology to individuals and carers referred to the service, alongside the other palliative care complementary therapists within the hospice.  

Main Tasks:  

·         Liaise with therapies staff to link groups and prioritise individuals to be seen.  

·         Prioritise referrals for the ward and liaise with the nursing staff.  

·         Obtain verbal consent from the individual receiving reflexology.  

·         Perform reflexology where appropriate in line with the hospices’ Complementary Therapy policy. 

·         Input information into individual notes/iCare.  

·         Ensure all consumables are in date and in stock.  

·         Liaise with the Therapies Manager and Palliative Care Complementary Therapists.  

·         Attend team meetings and any supervision/support organised for you by the Therapies Manager.  

 

What skills do I need?

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum qualification level of L3 Diploma in Reflexology

• Hold current personal Indemnity insurance  

• Two years post qualification working experience  
• IT competent
• Ability to record service user activity
• Experience of working with distressed individuals

 

Personal Qualities:

·         Willingness to learn new software packages where required

·         Good listening skills

·         Empathetic

·         To be flexible within our rota
