Marie Curie - East London
Marie Curie are looking to work more closely with Students and Universities across the UK to help raise awareness of our causes and campaigns.
Student Champion Volunteers act as a voice on campus to raise awareness for what Marie Curie does as well as organise fundraising events by engaging with university clubs and societies. This is a flexible role which works alongside studying and university life whilst developing students' skill sets for the future.
Your role will include some of, but is not restricted to, the following tasks:
• Be the voice of Marie Curie on campus, spreading the messages of our work
• Promoting our campaigns to students at your University and inspire them to help
• Encourage Clubs, Groups and Societies to hold fundraising events and activities for Marie Curie
• Use social media to engage students in our cause
• Representing Marie Curie at student fairs
• Be part of our network of Student Champions from other Universities, sharing ideas and opportunities
• Help to recruit the next Student Champion for the following year(s)
• Help with other related tasks when necessary
Please note : - This role is open to anyone in higher education whether this be at a college or university.
• Good people skills and are well-organised
• Self-motivation and are able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Commitment to help raise money and awareness
• Communication skills
