Support Group Volunteer - HVC 1433

The Sibling Group

The Sibling Group supports children who have a brother or sister with special needs and disabilities.

The group has been set up by an adult sibling as they understand the challenges siblings face.

The support groups give children a fun and safe space to have respite from their family home and allow them to meet others with similar experiences.

We our groups will support the well-being and mental health of children and their families. 

You will engage with the attendees of the groups and support in delivering the activities offered. The role will also include supporting with setting up the activities for the support group and tidying up after the session.

This role involves working with children aged 6-11 years old. 

What skills do I need?

  • Experience working with children and/or young people is a requirement for this role.
  • No qualifications needed
  • Experience working with the public is preferred.

When do I need to be available?

Morning Afternoon Evening

Sessions begin 24/2/24 and take place between 9:30 am-12:00 pm
