Alisar Prospects Training CIC is seeking a reliable and organised volunteer to provide remote administrative and communications support. As a small community-focused organisation with limited funding, strong administrative and promotional support is essential to help us deliver quality training and expand our services sustainably.

This role is primarily remote/online, with occasional face-to-face team meetings where appropriate.

The volunteer will support learner communication, maintain accurate records, assist with social media promotion, and help coordinate outreach and events. Income generated from our training programmes is reinvested into developing new community projects to support vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and families in Havering.

Key Responsibilities

  Contact learners and students regarding appointments, classes, and course updates

  Maintain attendance registers and update basic records

  Data entry and updating learner information systems

  Respond to emails and written communications professionally

  Promote and advertise our services across social media platforms

  Support event organisation and coordination

  Send newsletters and updates to learner groups, partners, and B2B contacts

  Reconnect with previous learners and partners to introduce current services and online learning opportunities

Time Commitment

Approximately 4–6 hours per week, primarily remote.

Initial commitment of 3 months, with the possibility to extend.

Please note: - occasional in-person team meetings may take place.

What skills do I need?

 

Skills & Experience (Desirable)

  Strong organisational and time-management skills

  Confident written communication

  Basic IT skills (email, spreadsheets, social media platforms)

  Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

  Friendly, professional and proactive attitude
