Purple Pot Ambassadors (HVC-1946)

Haven House Children's Hospice

Purple pots are our charity collection pots that we in the local community. This role involve volunteers managing an area or a high street and keeping a check on the existing pots and replacing them when required. This includes local shops pubs, businesses etc.

Once collected and replaced the pots should be dropped back to the hospice. The role is very flexible and is based within your local area. You will be given all the equipment an supported needed.


Main Activities includes/Tasks:

  •          Managing a particular area or a high street.
  •          Keeping a regular check on the existing pots and replacing when required.
  •          Sourcing new businesses to place new boxes in local shops, pubs, businesses etc.
  •          Build relationships with faith groups in the area such as Churches, Mosques, Synagogues
  •          Any collected pots must be dropped to the head office as soon as possible.

However, the role is very flexible, and you can manage and collect the boxes working around your schedule, work from home and liaise with the team via email and phone.  Our team will provide a detailed area sheet and all the office support.                  

What skills do I need?

No specific qualification are needed for this role; we are just looking for enthusiastic and motivated people and have a hands- on approach.

    Yes - up to £5 travel expenses but this can be looked at on an individual basis if expenses would be more

    Yes - we have a two-hour general induction at the hospice for all new volunteers. Volunteers will be required to attend the appropriate level of safeguarding training, depending on their role.
