Nutrition & Healthy Eating Support Volunteer HVC-2064

Rainham Foodbank

As a Nutrition & Healthy Eating Support Volunteer you will help our team support community healthy eating workshops aimed at improving health literacy, nutrition awareness, and healthy lifestyle choices. 

Key tasks:

• Support facilitators during nutrition workshops and demonstrations

• Assist participants with activities and discussions

• Encourage participation and peer interaction

• Support preparation of resources and refreshments

• Promote healthy eating messages in an accessible and encouraging way 

Flexible weekday availability preferred. Volunteers may support sessions across Rainham and other Havering community venues.

What skills do I need?

To carry out this role you will need the following skills:

Friendly and approachable manner

Interest in healthy living and wellbeing

Ability to engage positively with diverse community members. 


All volunteers will receive induction, safeguarding training, role-specific guidance, and ongoing supervision and support.
