Prayer Support Volunteer - HVC 1894

We are currently seeking support with our weekly Friday Prayer Service at the Myplace Youth and Community Centre in Harold Hill between 12:30pm-3pm.

This is a really important role to ensure that participants have an enjoyable but safe experience whilst attending the venue. 

 Each Friday tasks would comprise of: 

 1. Manage the people attending our Friday prayer service, which includes a head-count and asking anyone arriving beyond 200 people to wait for the subsequent Service (we hold three Services each week).
2. Remind people to place their shoes inside the main hall 
3. Support putting mats, equipment and furniture back in their right places.
4. Sit/Stand by the Myplace carpark barrier (which is currently broken) and prevent people from entering when the spaces are full.
5. Stand outside the main building entrance and monitor car parking issues.

Points 1-5 above are the main functional needs we need support with, and one person will be able to cover more than one task

What skills do I need?

You will have a good level of fitness and enjoy dealing with members of the public
