Hair & Make-Up Support Volunteer HVC-2022

Would you like to be part of the magic behind Shrek the Musical on Ice ? This is an exciting opportunity to support the production team backstage, helping performers look performance ready and feel confident before stepping onto the ice.

 As a Makeup and Hair Support Volunteer, you’ll assist with preparing performers for the show, supporting with basic makeup application, hairstyling, touch-ups, and quick changes between scenes. You’ll play an important role in maintaining the visual quality and consistency of the characters, helping bring the story to life. Most importantly, you will be helping in the Ogre transformation of Fiona Volunteers are essential in ensuring the show runs smoothly and that performers are always stage ready.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in theatre, beauty, or live events to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and creative environment. Volunteers can commit to one full day, although availability across all three days is strongly preferred

What skills do I need?

We are looking for creative, reliable, and detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working as part of a team. No formal qualifications are required, but the following skills and qualities are preferred:

• Strong skills in makeup and/or hair styling

• Good attention to detail and creativity

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under time pressure

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Calm and organised approach in a busy backstage environment

• Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude Experience in makeup, hair, beauty, or theatre is beneficial
