Group Support Wellbeing Volunteer - HVC 2062

Rainham Foodbank

We are looking for a Group Support Wellbeing Volunteer to support the delivery of structured group wellbeing sessions.

The sessions are designed to improve mental wellbeing, reduce loneliness, and strengthen community connection among adults across Havering.

Key responsibilities of the role

• Welcome and support participants attending wellbeing sessions

• Help facilitators deliver inclusive and engaging activities

• Encourage participation from isolated or anxious attendees

• Support arts, creative, wellbeing, and peer-support activities

• Assist with refreshments, room setup, and health & safety checks

• Provide compassionate listening and informal emotional support

• Assist with signposting individuals to additional support services where appropriate

Flexible weekday availability preferred.

What skills do I need?

To volunteer in this role, you will need good communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, patience, reliability, and a passion for supporting community wellbeing.

Volunteer Commitment Flexible weekday availability preferred. Volunteers may support sessions across Rainham and other Havering community venues.
