Fundraising Cash Counter - HVC 2058

Saint Francis Hospice

 As a Fundraising Cash Counter, you will support the Saint Francis Hospice Fundraising Team with the counting of cash (mainly coins) collected in via collection boxes. You will also count cash raised at events and large cash donations. 


Sometimes were are gifted foreign currency,  you will also count the donated foreign currency so it can be banked. You will be working with another volunteer as part of a team, in line with hospice strategy.


Main Tasks:

·         Counting cash (coins) using a sorting machine.

·         Remove foreign currency and non-circulated currency from the cash donations.

·         Completing paperwork relating to each cash donation.

When / Where: Fundraising department.Minimum 3-4 hours weekly Mon-Wed or Fri. Hours to be agreed with Volunteer Supervisor.

What skills do I need?

Skills and Experience:

·         Able to follow clear instructions and work unsupervised.  

·         Ability to embrace change and a willingness to lend a hand in a variety of tasks 

·         Experience of working in a busy, lively and (on occasion) noisy environment.  

·         Ability to use own initiative

·         Good organisation and administration skills  

·         Friendly, professional and approachable manner.
