Brookside Theatre
The Brookside is a wonderful and intimate theatre based in the centre of Romford. We have around 200 seats and allow local people to take part in and watch arts at an accessible venue and an affordable price. The Brookside stages a wide range of events ranging from full plays, music, musicals comedy and celebrity evenings featuring national stars.
Our Theatre Volunteers play an important role in ensuring the shows run smoothly and the guests have the full Brookside experience. The Theatre Volunteers will be part of the meet and greet experience, sale of tickets, programmes, refreshments and raffle tickets as well as assisting customers to their seats and bidding them farewell at the end of a performance.
We are looking for friendly, approachable, confident, reliable, committed individuals who enjoy communicating with others from across a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
We are looking for individuals who are confident in handling money as some sales of tickets, programmes, refreshments and raffle tickets may be included in this role. A basic understanding of computers would be required to operate the ticket sales machine.
You may be required to volunteer independently on any one of the locations at the theatre and on occasion under pressure when problems arise or at busy periods.
Training will be provided on all aspects of the role. Refreshments are provided.
