Elm Park Community Association
Are you generally at a loose end of a weekend and are looking for something a little different to do?
Elm Park Community Association are a volunteer led organisation who support the running and maintenance of a community centre that is available for public use.
The Community Centre is used by a whole range of activities, the majority of our regular users have their own keys to access the building but our weekend users are normally members of the community who hire the space for baby showers, children's birthday parties, first aid courses, life celebrations etc.
This is where we need you, our next care taker volunteer!
We are looking for volunteers to help with the opening and closing of the halls primarily at a weekend, this could be anywhere from 10am and not later than 6pm.
The care taker role is important because you will be the face of the association when meeting the hirer to open or saying farewell when closing and we pride ourselves on great customer experience.
Duties for this role may include:
- Welcoming hirers to the hall or saying farewell
- Turning the lights on/off
- Showing hirers where extra tables and chairs are
- Explaining that the hall needs to be put away correctly
- Showing them where the brooms are to sweep the floor
