1:1 Workshop Support (Blue Tee Company) - Salvation Army, Harold Hill - (HVC-2147)

The Blue Tees are a friendly group of diverse individuals who volunteer and support our young people and staff in sessions and performances. They work together to ensure that members are able to fully participate in all areas of the performing arts in line with our inclusive ethos. Our members are aged between 4-18.  We are looking for volunteers who:-

•               Can offer buddy support in sessions, rehearsals, and performances to members regardless of needs

•               Are confident in facilitating a small group 

•               Assist in facilitating dance, drama, singing, and games. (Experience is not necessary)

•               Show enthusiasm during the session and encourage everyone to do the same

•               Support members in all aspects, for example, emotionally and physically 

•               Meet and greet members upon arrival at workshops, rehearsals, and performance days

•               Open and direct communicators

•               Proactive when it comes to decision-making 

 

What skills do I need?

We are looking for enthusiastic and and compassionate volunteers who would like to work with children/adults with disabilities. You will be able to assist and take part in dance, drama, singing and games - no previous experience is necessary..

You will need a good level of fitness as you will be taking part in dance and games with our members.

You will also have a keen interest in working with children/adults who are on the autistic spectrum/wheelchair user/downs syndrome.

We ask Blue T's to commit to a minimum of 1 evening a week term-time only. We welcome Blue T's working on more than 1 evening if available. Each evening our members work towards a yearly performance of which we ask for your commitment to support the performance by attending a 5 hour rehearsal session and 5 hours on show day

Tuesday Evenings, Term times only. Sessions run as follows: Infants: 4pm - 4.45pm, Juniors: 5pm - 6.05pm, Seniors: 6.15pm - 7.20pm. We ask Blue Tees to commit to a minimum of 1 evening per week term time only. Each evening the members work towards our biannual performances, of which we ask for you to support this performance by committing to a show day. Date will be given in advance. Sessions run as follows: • Infants: 4pm to 4.45pm • Juniors: 5pm to 6.05pm • Seniors: 6.15pm to 7.20pm
